THE PROBLEM:
This respected Cheshire Architect business was suffering a severe pain point with customer projects.
Wrong drawings and revisions were not always reaching the right hands which caused complications and even litigation or penalties on larger projects.
THE SOLUTION:
Built a BIM construction Level 2 compliant system.
HardyFinch working with the client and BIM Level 2 compliance created a gated document management system which enabled all contractors and stakeholders to access both on and off site.
The gating mechanism (BIM 2) compliant ensured all documents released for a build project were the correct revisions, even when you had several different contractors red penning their own amends.
THE OUTCOMES:
- BIM Level 2 compliant software to use on Enterprise and Government projects.
- Commercial opportunity to licence and monetize the platform for every project with the contractors and sub contractors or stakeholders involved.
- Created an uncluttered workflow in the practice in respect of document revisions.

- We worked closely with the internal Compliance Officer to ensure full BIM 2 regulations and guidelines were achieved.
- We built the document management engine from our core TIEO system and adapted for the BIM Level 2 requirements.
- Helped build out the commercial proposition for monetising the system.
- Invested 50% into the partnership through our HardyFinch Ventures Programme.
- Streamline construction firms’ processes to make sure all stakeholders are up to date.
- Replace difficult-to-follow storage policies with a single, automated upload.
- Promote top-to-bottom compliance across the entire project.
